Runeel Dentist

Principal Dentist

Runeel qualified from Queen Mary University London in 2002 and gained his early professional experience in general practice in Lewisham before venturing up north to be closer to family in 2007. After a year in Northwich he joined The Cheadle Smile Centre (our former name) becoming owner and principal dentist here in 2012. In 2018, Runeel oversaw an extensive refurbishment programme and a rebrand to Oh My Smile.

Runeel is particularly interested in minimally invasive dentistry, teeth straightening treatments, adhesive cosmetic fillings and teeth whitening to enhance natural smiles and as well as his dental qualifications he has completed advanced training in restorative dentistry.

He believes these treatments help to provide patients with increased confidence in their smile whilst avoiding unnecessary damage to teeth. This way patients manage to keep their unique natural smile and improve their self-esteem.

Passionate about his work, Runeel is incredibly skilled at putting his patients at ease and gets great satisfaction from seeing a patients smile transformed using minimally invasive treatments. He particularly enjoys helping nervous patients transform their anxieties into confidence, keeping them informed at all times and creating trust through delivery of gentle, pain free treatment.

Dental Therapist

Chris worked in finance for many years before switching careers and completing a Diploma in Dentistry, Pharmacy and Medical Science at Manchester College and then University of Manchester.

Chris’s professionalism means he is committed to expanding his professional knowledge and areas of special interest by maintaining his continued professional development through attending courses. Chris is also qualified to undertake teeth whitening and facial aesthetics, including anti-wrinkle treatments and fillers. Both great ways to offset the effects of aging in order to maintain a beautiful and healthy smile.

Outside of the practice he enjoys keeping fit, gym and holidays

Rebecca Hygienist

Rebecca joined us in 2004 and has a Diploma in Dental Hygiene from University of Wales College of Medicine.

Before deciding dental hygiene was her dream career Rebecca was a dental nurse in Stockport and before that was a Crown Court Clerk where she worked on several high-profile criminal cases.

Rebecca really enjoys building rapport with her patients and making them feel as relaxed as possible. She loves educating them on all aspects of oral hygiene and improving the overall condition of their mouths. Rebecca really likes seeing the difference in patients before and after a hygiene appointment.

As part of her dedication to her work she keeps up to date with the latest developments and research in oral hygiene and also works with an interdental brush company providing advice and feedback on their products.

Rebecca is married to Sam and together they have 2 young children. As a family they love their holidays and own a caravan which they get away to as often as possible.

Head Dental Nurse

Kim joined Oh My Smile in 2006 as a trainee dental nurse and qualified in 2009 after completing a Level 3 NVQ in Dental Nursing.

As well as her dental nursing qualification Kim completed a Making Prevention Work in Practice course which included the application of fluoride varnish and impression taking in 2014.

In her role as Head Dental Nurse she supervises various elements of the dental practice, providing support and direction to enhance the skills and knowledge of the apprentice nursing team. She also works closely with the Business Manager and Principal Dentist to deliver quality dental care to patients in line with CQC, GDC guidelines, Health & Safety requirements and other legislation.

Kim particularly enjoys cosmetic dentistry, oral health education and providing chair-side attention to patients. She loves making a difference to people’s lives, giving them confidence and helping anxious patients feel at ease.

When not at work Kim likes to socialize with friends, eat out and go to the cinema.

Treatment Coordinator

Cherrelle (also known as Chez) started her dentistry career in 2007, completed her Level 3 NVQ in Dental Nursing in 2009 and joined Oh My Smile in 2012 when the practice was called The Cheadle Smile Centre.

A key member of our close knit team Chez has continued developing her skills and knowledge gaining qualifications in oral hygiene, fluoride application and impression taking as well as assisting the dentists in a wide range of treatments from general dentistry to restoring implants and completing full mouth rehabilitations.

Chez became our Treatment Coordinator in 2019 and openly admits that she adores her role “I have gained so much job satisfaction in helping our patients through their treatment journey, from the very first consultation right up to the end of treatment and how happy they with the result. It’s fantastic to have watched our patients regain their confidence to smile again. I love that part the most!”

Outside of work Chez has a busy family lifestyle with a wonderful husband and 2 beautiful children. She enjoys her time with friends and taking part in charity events.

Paul Ezra

Trainee Dental Nurse

Paul joined Oh My Smile as an Apprentice Dental Nurse in 2017. He is currently progressing to become a qualified professional through Smart Dental Academy.

He is excited about pursuing his career in Dental Nursing as he loves caring for patients and building a friendly rapport with them. The team here think he has definitely found his calling as a Dental Nurse and are as excited as he is about his prospects.

Paul always has a big smile and is very friendly which puts the patients at ease.

Outside of work Paul is interested in tattoos and music, and has always shared his love of films, live gigs, video games and animals with his family and many friends.

Trainee Dental Nurse

Megan is a trainee Apprentice Dental Nurse here at Oh My Smile. Joining the practice in 2019 she is completing her training with Aspiration Training.

Megan enjoys every aspect of her role and finds it very rewarding. Megan particularly enjoys cosmetic dentistry and helping patient achieve the smile they have always wanted but similarly loves helping people become pain-free.

She is excited to qualify and then further expand her knowledge and training. Outside of the practice Megan’s biggest hobby is photography, especially nature and architectural photography. She also has an interest in tattoos, loves animals and has a little Westie called Titch.

Sam Holt

Practice Manager

Sam is our Practice Manager. She is also a qualified Dental Nurse and has worked in dentistry for over 30 years starting her career at a practice in Didsbury, then Denton before a move to Cheadle.

She has been with us for 20 years now and is looking forward to helping the practice through an exciting phase of development.

Her job as Practice Manager is to ensure the smooth and efficient day to day running of the practice in order to maintain a stress free patient journey for all new and existing patients. Because she understands the clinical and operational side of dentistry she is unflappable and calm in a crisis.

When she is not working Sam enjoys spending time with her family and friends, eating out and going on holiday abroad as well as visiting beautiful locations within the UK.
